The afterlife isn’t peaceful. It’s honest.
At a bar on the edge of existence, two women discover they loved the same man. Two old friends confront the ghost of the one who got away. Elsewhere, a fractured quartet relive a night of betrayal that refuses to stay buried, and a fragile reunion spirals into a reckoning neither side expected. Then the dead begin to speak. Set in The Back of Beyond, a liminal space where unfinished business surfaces and nothing stays hidden, Porcupines is a bold, darkly comic ensemble drama about grief, love, generosity, guilt and the loneliness of the digital age. As secrets unravel and past choices return in flesh and memory, something larger gathers: a reckoning not just with each other, but with the era we lived through: the scrolling, the constant flood of global crises, the borrowed futures, the unspoken longing. Savage, funny and unexpectedly tender, Porcupines asks what we did with our brief moment on a spinning rock in space and whether simply being alive should have been enough.’
