TWO VOICES, ONE WORLD REBORN
On the edge of the sea, a girl longs for something more than her fading island home. When a mysterious outsider washes ashore, the stories she grew up with stir back to life.
Told through looping technology and layered harmonies, Islander is a two-hander folk musical that conjures an entire world through sound.
Lyrical and inventive, it explores identity, imagination, and what we hold onto when everything else begins to change.
Islander is performed as part of
the MFA Directing Season, 2025.
