Alice Birch's poignant play reaches across the stratospheres of society to explore women and the criminal justice system. With 100 unrelated scenes, Birch asks the company to construct an entirely unique production that grapples with the question of how a society might metabolise the injustices of a broken system, and invites the audience to wrestle with the world of rehabilitation, retribution, crime and accountability.
[BLANK] was first co-commissioned by Clean Break and the National Theatre
