East 15’s MA Acting cohort share the green shoots of exciting new work. These entirely original pieces have been created by MA actors working solo and in ensemble companies over an intensive three weeks.
It’s Christmas, the happiest time of the year. It’s now been 163 days 17 hours and 54 minutes since you left, where are you? Are you coming home?
Loss. Hunger. Rage. Lust. What lies at the extremities of our primal selves? Can we co-exist in a community that is untethered and unrestrained? ANTHЯØ explores what lies within all of us, and how our communities can be made or broken by our authentic selves.
What’s it like to give something your absolute all?
Or to give it next to nothing, but still not give up because giving up isn’t really an option?
And why would a modern theatre company bother staging Hamlet again?…

A man explores the messy, ineffective and increasingly desperate ways he has tried to get love throughout his life. As his failure to find peace becomes increasingly impossible to ignore, he is forced to turn both inwards and to the world of birds to find solace.
We promise to remember them, but what happens to the young men who are left forgotten? In 1917, wounds of the past remain fresh, and war-torn lives need help being pieced back together. Memory and the present are one and the same; as the mouthless dead speak no more.
