The Liver In Bed Two: A Case of Compassionate Anxiety

BA Acting and Community Theatre  | 24th and 25th October 2018

The Wellcome Collection Reading Room, Euston Road, London

Written by Ainslie Masterton and the cast, and based on research archive documents by Isabel Menzies Lyth, this is an interactive performance explores field notes on the experiences of nurses and other NHS staff across its 70 year history. The Company, in collaboration with Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, will draw on archival material held in Wellcome Library to create this unique performance.

This free event is staged in the Wellcome Collection Reading Room, 183 Euston Road, London, NW1 2BE

BA Acting and Contemporary Theatre  | 24th to 27th October 2018

The Corbett Theatre, Loughton

In the 1770s, Mary Lacy, a poor girl from Kent facing a lifetime as a domestic servant, ran away from home, disguised herself as a man, and joined the British Navy. She became an apprentice shipwright, but when her gender was discovered, she was expelled from the Navy and went on to become an architect and builder.  Mary found love and companionship with Mrs Elizabeth Slade, with whom she lived, found time to write her memoirs and was the first woman to be granted a pension from the British Admiralty.

Hansel and Gretel

The Corbett Theatre, Loughton

Hansel and Gretel stumble upon a colourful circus family but are tricked into following their new friends to the wicked witch's candy-covered lair. Hansel and Gretel, helped by Orin the Faerie-King and the mysterious Monkey-boy seeks to defeat the witch with a combination of kindness and courage.

Let the Storyteller take you to a land of fables and wonder to explore some of the best fairy tales ever told... An exciting, funny and magical new look at some of the Grimm Brothers' favourite tales, including Rumpelstiltskin, the Golden Goose, Hansel and Gretel, and the original version of Beauty and the Beast.

Adaptation by Adam Forde. Directed by Tracy Collier.

One performance in schools available on Friday 30th November 2018. The performance lasts approximately 1 hour. Cost per school £100 +VAT per show.

Around The World In 80 Days

The mysterious and fabulously wealthy Phileas Fogg wagers his life’s fortune that he can circumnavigate the globe in just 80 days.

Join him and his loyal valet Passepartout, as they voyage from the misty alleys of Victorian London to the exotic subcontinent and the Wild West in a race against the clock. This imaginative, high-spirited escapade includes over 100 characters, six trains, five boats, four fights, two dances, one storm, a circus act and an elephant!

Around the World In 80 Days is rollicking good fun for all the family this Christmas.
