An Odyssey redux as told by Penelope, and her Maids calling from the underworld.  Where the classic “constant wife” tells it like it is and voices on the margins warn of the webs we weave.

Penelope and her Maids are front and centre in this redux of the Odyssey as told by an all female cast. The queen and her attendants are suspended together in the amorphous realm of the underworld. The Maids sing, dance and shift giving form to their perpetrators and voice to the marginalised. Wryly, Penelope unpicks the threads of her story and her persona as “constant wife”. Yet, whatever the un-weaving, Penelope finds herself forever bound to the hauntingly constant Maids.

A theatrical shapeshifting feast for the senses, told by women on the margins of history.
