East 15 Students get Ready to Perform at the Globe

Students from the UK's leading drama schools will present scenes by Shakespeare and his contemporaries on the Globe stage in the second Sam Wanamaker Festival. The festival takes place on Sunday 15 April 2007 from 4pm to 6.30pm.

Sam Wanamaker worked as a director and actor in both films and television, as well as a director of stage productions. Wanamaker was instrumental in the rebuilding of the Globe Theatre in London, England, but died prior to its grand opening in 1997. This is a wonderful opportunity to see some excellent theatre and to spot leading actors of the future respond to the challenge and excitement of playing to a packed house.

East 15 students Matthew Dollive and Jessica Dennis have been chosen to participate, and are currently studying on the School's three-year BA Acting programme, so will be graduating in June.

East 15's BA Specialist Performance Skills (Stage Combat) students have also been invited to perform at the event.

For tickets, please contact the Globe Theatre on 020 7902 1470. Tickets are £10 (£5 standing) no concessions. The Globe Theatre is situated on 21 New Globe Walk, Bankside, London SE1 9DT. The festival is in association with the Conference of Drama Schools (CDS)
